Vincent E. Messerly, PE
President
Vince Messerly joined the Foundation in 1998 as General Manager and became President in 2002. Vince has overseen the completion of eight wetlands mitigation banks, and numerous other wetlands and stream habitat restoration projects-completed for both mitigation and non-mitigation purposes. Projects completed to date include over 1,700 acres of wetlands restoration, 13,000 linear feet of stream enhancement and restoration, and over 2,300 acres of permanently protected wetlands and streams.
As President, Vince oversees all aspects of the Foundation’s operations, including project development, business management, credit sales, agency coordination, and the formation and management of partnerships with federal, state, and local entities.
Vince’s past experience includes the design and construction of conservation practices for the USDAvNRCS, including: sediment and erosion control plans; grade stabilization structures; animal waste collection, storage, and treatment-including wetlands to treat waste; wetland restoration projects; stream stabilization projects; and flood control projects. In addition, Vince directed a team of engineers and technicians with Jobes Henderson and Associates to complete the design of a wide range of civil engineering projects, including: land development, transportation, environmental, structural, and wetlands restoration projects.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Ohio University

Sara Boyden
Administrative & Marketing Associate
Sara Boyden became a member of the Ohio Wetlands Foundation team in September 2011. Sara’s duties as the Administrative & Marketing Assistant will include: credit sale inquiries; invoice and payables; client communications; records management; office management; and event marketing efforts.
Sara’s past work experiences include retail and business management at Limited Too, Inc. where she was an assistant buyer. While working for Limited Too she assisted in selection and purchase of merchandise and partnered with the Advertising and Marketing Departments to maximize their business opportunities.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Fashion and Retail Merchandising with a minor in Business Administration, Ohio University (2002)
